Waterford, Connecticut
Harkness Memorial State Park, located in Waterford, Connecticut, is nothing short of picturesque location that has become a favorite for MOP couples. With its stunning waterfront views, historical architecture, and lush gardens, it's no wonder that this park sets the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable engagement shoot.
I met these gems of humans—Caroline and AJ—at Harkness Memorial for their engagement session. During my discovery calls I like to get a feel for their vision not only for their day but the engagement. So when they mentioned they want a mix of gardens and beach, there really is only one choice to get both and they had never been here before. I couldn't believe I got newbies so we had to hit the arches of the mansion, the worn vibes of the buildings, the 100+ year old maple! The breeze picked up which added some great movement and some dark clouds did roll in but the evening proved to be gorgeous.
Caroline and AJ are friends of a previous MOP couple I had the pleasure of working with, Erica and Tommy, so I was beyond excited to celebrate with them. Caroline and AJ’s love story is a true reflection of the energy and joy they brought to their engagement session. Caroline’s warm smile and infectious laugh perfectly match AJ’s laid-back nature and quiet confidence. AJ proposed to Caroline at the boardwalk, making the beach an extra special part of their story.
Enjoy my favorites!
All smiles,
Mariel
