Portland, Connecticut
Danielle and Eric were nothing but joy and ease all day long—just like their waterfront ceremony at St. Clements Marina in Portland, Connecticut. With the warm late summer breeze, wild wind, and waterfront views, the day was full of magic and meaning from beginning to end.
The day could’ve easily taken a stressful turn—especially when the guys had to make a wardrobe pit stop! But thanks to a well-organized timeline and incredibly positive vibes all around, everything stayed right on track. Danielle and her girls were radiant from the start, wearing classic satin pajamas while getting ready. And let’s talk about their daughter, Sage—who truly served as the heart of the day and must have inspired the color pallette.
The deep sage green details paired beautifully with the golden tones of late summer, giving everything a cohesive, heartfelt feel. Danielle’s mermaid curls danced in the wild wind, somehow looking even more elegant and timeless with every breeze.
The ceremony itself was short and sweet—officiated with a touching reading from Grandma, and made even sweeter by the adorable flower girls and ring bearer stealing the show. It was the kind of ceremony where you could feel the love in the air.
Afterwards, we captured portraits that felt like a dream. Danielle and Eric snuggled close with the marina as their backdrop, looking every bit in love and at peace—just soaking in their first few moments as newlyweds.
And then… the party really started.
The moment Danielle and Eric were introduced into the reception, the energy was through the roof—and it never came down. One of the absolute highlights? The father of the bride pulling off his infamous breakdance splits. The whole room lost it (myself included!). It was just one of those nights where joy was contagious.
I found myself emotional during the dances—those moments always get me, but this time felt extra special. There was something so genuine and tender about the way this couple connected with their loved ones. It reminded me exactly why I love what I do.
And then, the final photo of the night: Danielle and Eric, wrapped in each other’s arms, sharing a kiss on the dance floor, completely surrounded by their people. No posing, no planning—just pure love and celebration.
Please enjoy this collection of some of my favorite moments from Danielle and Eric’s unforgettable day.
All smiles,
Mariel
