Some people come into your life for just a moment—but leave you wishing they lived right down the street. That’s exactly how I felt after spending the week with Jamie and Jordon. I had only just met them in person, but from the start, their warmth, humor, and genuine love pulled me in completely. I found myself wishing we could hang out on the regular. That’s the kind of energy their wedding radiated—effortless fun, deep connection, and total joy.
The day began in the most peaceful way: in a cozy sunroom bathed in soft, studio-like light. It was the perfect setting for Jamie and her crew to get ready, sip coffee, and laugh their way into the day. Her two sweet pups, Kylo and Tito, made a guest appearance to say hi and get some well-deserved pets while I captured the morning details. We wrapped up that part of the day with some adorable cozy jammie photos and a TikTok video—just the right mix of sentimental and silly.
Jamie and Jordon chose to keep things traditional, with a classic church ceremony. Jordon didn’t see Jamie until she walked down the aisle—and the look on his face was everything. You could feel the joy as they stood at the altar, and even more so as they walked hand-in-hand back down the aisle as husband and wife.
One of my favorite moments? Watching Jamie with her grandfather. He’s such a significant person in her life, and the love and respect between them was so special to witness.
After the ceremony, we took a quick stop at Clinton Town Beach—where Jamie’s family owns a little tucked-away island property. I love when couples incorporate meaningful locations into their portraits. It’s not just about the scenery; it’s about the story behind it. That quiet shoreline became another thread in the beautiful fabric of their day.
Once we arrived at Millpond Gatherings, we had the perfect window of time to explore the grounds for family photos and those just-married portraits. Jamie’s veil caught the breeze in the most cinematic way, and Jordon was clearly ready to celebrate with their favorite people.
The reception space was absolutely stunning—eucalyptus, baby’s breath, and warm rustic details brought everything together with timeless elegance. The decor echoed the bouquets and florals, perfectly tying the day together with cohesive charm.
This wedding was full of all the best things: family connections, heartfelt traditions, and a couple whose love shines so brightly it’s contagious.
Enjoy reliving a little piece of the magic.
All smiles,
Mariel
