Middletown, Connecticut
This love story is about a Connecticut girl who moves down to Florida and there she meets her mate. Jamie and Jordon are having a hometown ceremony this week and planning from a far take a lot of love from family and trust. I absolutely loved meeting them last night at Wadsworth Falls State Park in Middletown, Connecticut.
Escaping the 95 degrees they are getting married in the most beautiful early autumn weather we have been having lately (Jamie even exclaimed "omg my feet are touching leaves"). Meeting my couples before the big day is so important. It gives me the chance to see how they interact naturally—and these two made it so easy. From their laughter to their quiet moments, they’ve got that “it” factor. Most couples have a signature pose that just works for them, and let me tell you, Jordon nailed his: the LIFT. Yes, the full-on romantic movie moment, and he made it look effortless. We might just have to bring that one back on Saturday (along with a classic spin, of course!).
Their session was full of smiles, stories, and just the right amount of silly. We talked about their sweet pups (who will be repping during cocktail hour—YES!), travel plans for their guests, and even a little sneak peek of the dress… and now I really can’t wait to capture it in all its wedding day glory.
Planning a wedding from afar takes trust—and Jamie and Jordon are lucky to be surrounded by loving family and friends who are helping make it all come together. I’m so excited to document their big day and see all the final touches they’ve been working so hard on.
Until then, enjoy a few favorites from our evening at Wadsworth Falls, and stay tuned for the magic coming this weekend.
Smiles,
Mariel
