Wickham Park
Manchester, Connecticut
When a college friends texts you and says she's engaged there may have been some squeals coming from my end of the phone. Sara, the bride and I go back to college while working with a cast of characters, each unique and lovely. She told me she finally found the guy and when meeting Luke, and seeing their connection I was beyond happy.
A modern love story always begins with the internet. They met December of 2019 pre-pandemic and the chaos to come. They dated but those times were a struggle - broke up and remained friends (hello that is the foundation of marriage). As it turned out they just realized 'hey, you are my favorite person, we should be married'
We met at the grounds of Wickham Park in Manchester, Connecticut. This park has sets of special gardens like the English Garden, Scottish and an Oriental. You know I love portrait options and there were some iron work, sculptures and a bridge with a pond. The lush blooms are always inspiring and I got plenty of florals for the ring shots.
As the sun slowly dipped we chased the glow and I was able to get those dreamy landscapes.
I am so happy to share these with you all. Continued happiness to you Sara and Luke and a start to a beautiful life.
All smiles,
Mariel
