This colorful celebration at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills in Middletown, Connecticut was one of those weddings. Filled with vibrant wildflower-inspired florals, thoughtful DIY touches, and some of the dreamiest portraits of the season, the day was a perfect reflection of the couple's joyful and laid-back approach to their wedding.
From the beginning, the Sarah had a clear vision. Rather than relying on traditional elements she spent months thrifting (10/10 recommend) which brough warmth and character to the day.
The bright floral palette was one of the most striking features of the wedding. Overflowing bouquets featured cheerful blooms in shades of pink, yellow, orange, purple, and blue, creating a wildflower-inspired look that felt both whimsical and refined. Against the rustic backdrop of The Barns at Wesleyan Hills, the colorful florals added an unexpected burst of energy.
While every detail was beautiful, the portraits quickly became one of the highlights of the day. The first look was under the famous willows on the grounds. If you remember from their engagement shoot - the couple loves to have photo options! Surrounded by lush greenery and summer light, the newlyweds embraced every moment together. Their connection was effortless, allowing us to create images that felt authentic, romantic, and full of movement.
