Day Trip to Niantic

So this whole pregnancy I've been pretty busy shooting weddings on the weekends and obviously we have been preparing with registries and family functions and house projects! It was so relaxing to just take a day trip as a sort of baby moon to connect to each other and enjoy the day. Mike planned this whole day and let me unplug from social media - it was perfect! Niantic was a great location with things we both loved to do! I love to antique and go into little shops and he loves to read and browse comics. The Book Barn has 3 locations! 3! Has to be the largest collection of used books in the state and there are cats that love to hang around!

We started the day with breakfast at this roadside place in Higganum named Deb's. I love diners and especially hole in the wall ones. Food is always delish and was filling for sure. Fresh blueberries and the Cajun home fries were great too! I want to go back.

It was too rainy to head to the boardwalk and the beach but we walked around plenty. It made me a bit tired and we changed plans and headed home early to spend the afternoon with the dogs. We will spend another day together doing a paint night, going to the movies, or leaf peeping once the colors change a bit.

This blog is a small representation of my most current sessions, my clients love stories and all the adventures I am privilaged to go on! Ways to my heart include coffee, feeding me before I am "hangry" and anything shabby chic/rustic. My vintage camera collection grows everday and I am usually smiling and quoting random movies. Most importantly Mariel O. Photo celebrates love in all forms regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation & gender identity.
