End of Year Review | 2015

December 31, 2015

Here it comes the obligatory "Best of 2015" post. My passion for photography has been in my heart for years but it wasn't until this year that I decided to make it as a business. Pushing away some self doubt I started asking my sister permission to put a camera in her children's face every couple of weeks. Then some opportunity presented itself at my full time job and I began with passing out business cards locally and eventually creating this website and blog.

Being a boss lady is tons of effort and work and I have plenty of goals for the the new year. There have been and I'm sure continued highs and lows as I grow clientele, style, and technique of 'Mariel O. Photo.' I am so thankful for the adventures I've had thus far. Loved meeting new families, some with an addition and some just starting off. My friends and family also had some great milestones and let me tag along to practice and I am always thankful for their support. I look forward to growing and take comfort that my craft that I love, might take some time...the whole 'Rome wasn't built in a day' adage (so true!) 2016 my goals are big and I hope you're ready for me.

More About Mariel

This blog is a small representation of my most current sessions, my clients love stories and all the adventures I am privilaged to go on! Ways to my heart include coffee, feeding me before I am "hangry" and anything shabby chic/rustic. My vintage camera collection grows everday and I am usually smiling and quoting random movies. Most importantly Mariel O. Photo celebrates love in all forms regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation & gender identity.
