Erica & Thomas | Delamar Hotel Wedding

November 10, 2023

An Autumn Delamar Hotel Wedding
West Hartford, Connecticut

This fall has been so good to me honestly, and Erica and Thomas' classy hotel wedding was a dream to photograph. If you remember this couple from last year's sunrise engagement shoot then you can see how easy they are to capture. As soon as I walked into the Governor's Room I was greeted by giddy bridesmaids and a fervor of activity, but Erica was calm and cool and their were details all lined up for me to start photographing. With the mid-November day, daylight is limited but Kris at Unkaged Events made sure everything was running smoothly. The Delamar is such a classy location and the staircase was pretty grand for their sweet first look along with some other nooks in the lobby for portraits - including the elevator!

The wind made for some perfect veil toss photos and the bright and bold terracotta color scheme is now my ultimate favorite for fall. I knew Erica and Tommy were my people because while the bridesmaids were cold, Erica was thriving and said 'This weather is exactly what I wanted!' Their epic first dance really kicked off the party and their work & college friends were on the floor all night.

Welcome back from your Barbados honeymoon you two and enjoy only some of my many favorites!

All smiles,

Mariel
