Inn at Mystic | Styled Shoot Part I

Started off the year with a lovely duel styled shoot from Chelsea Eliza Photography at Haley Mansion - Inn at Mystic. These images are part one of two! Winter months are usually slow for photographers so I jumped at the chance to participate especially since it was only an hour away from home. Last June I participated in my first shoot and quickly knew I wanted to do more. Its a wonderful opportunity to boost my image portfolio and get to practice.

Joining a variety of social media groups allows creativity to spark and everyone's energy was fantastic. Although the day got a late start (our model Sam was also doing the hair styling) it allowed those extra detail shots to be captured. The big group of about 10 split into smaller groups where we rotated between models and detail shots. In my small group was Leah & Christina and it was nice to work closely together throughout the afternoon. Forming vendor friendships is important to me & now I get to follow their business journeys on social media. Its another reason Community Over Competition is the best! We may be taking the same pictures of the same thing but getting to see different results from each photographer is super cool.

The theme I am showcasing on this post was a gold and pink Gatsby theme with a sleek modern dress and my favorite thing about it was model, Ali and her bright red hair. The headpiece truly brought the look together along with the matching lace veil. The tablescape of tall holders and candelabras made this scheme elegant, classy and very Great Gatsby

Let's not forget our male model Josh who got to see his bride all dolled up in bridal dress all over again.

It was about 30 Degrees out but these couples really were troopers and didn't act cold at all especially being pulled back and forth from each group inside and out.
