Kathryn & Timmy | A Downtown Wedding

It had been two years since I met up with Timmy and Kathryn and when their wedding day came along in downtown Northampton, Massachusetts it was as if time never passed. These two are so warm and friendly and their family and friends were just as amazing to be around! I never expected less! The weather had threats of thunderstorms right during portrait time with them but on my drive up it stormed for about5 minutes around the Connecticut border and it was gone! Once I arrived at the Hotel Northampton the sun was starting to shine and the humidity came!

Kathryn was getting ready in a beautiful suite with two balconies with one overlooking the beautiful atrium entrance. I got to meet her mother and maid of honor and it was so relaxing and calm. Kathryn while sitting getting all dolled up kept saying "It's happening. I can't wait to be married!" The anticipation and all that the time waiting was about to go down. Last year threw everyone for a loop but these two couldn't wait to make it official

The venue was an active train station, Union Station in beautiful downtown Northampton. If you've never been I recommend. The whole downtown area is quaint with beautiful murals and side streets with unique businesses. Smith College (where we did portraits) has got to be up there with favorite college campus to shoot at! This couple scoped out the magical secret garden slightly off campus that was less crowded than the infamous Botanical Gardens (which I photographed about two years prior). It made me so happy to have a more intimate space for their newlywed photos!

The ceremony had to be my favorite because of the handwritten vows, Timmy getting emotional, and walking the processional to "Where you Lead" from Gilmore Girls. I just knew these are my people! Everything during this day went perfectly which is just what I want for my couples. Stress free and full of love! The only downfall was not being able to see their darling fur children, Stevie and Bowie but I know they are in good hands while you enjoy time away in Colorado!
