Mariel Monthly | May 2021

May 31, 2021

This month has certainly picked up. The spring blooms have flourished and turned into beautiful greens and time spent outside! The patio furniture has been placed and I took some time to fill my pots with new plants.

May also kicks off birthdays and anniversaries! My parents hit their 44th anniversary on the 7th and they are just #goals. I've never seen such love. Michael's 38th was on the 10th and we celebrate at our friend's house (just like last year) with some homemade chimis and Oreo cake. My friend from high school's birthday was the 21st and even though we couldn't be together I let her know I was thinking of her. I also find it fun that my sister's bestie also shares her birthday with mine!

I had a great weekend or two spending time with my mother, watching Ava rock her basketball tournament, and time with my sister in law and nephew. Now that some quarantine rules have been loosened it's finally time to party! The weekend activity is defiantly going to be busy to make up for some lost time. I got to the beach for a styled shoot (blog post coming soon) and got some headshots done which I love.

Memorial Day weekend wasn't the best weather but we made do! Mike had two friends over that we haven't seen in a very long time. We had some delicious Neil's donuts for breakfast and got to hang out. My engagement shoot and picnic on Sunday got rained out as well but on Monday we got to see my family, have some burgers and relax. It was pretty great to just be with family and remember what the day is all about. We celebrate my sister's bday a couple days early as well.

May is one of my favorite months but June proves to be even better! Stay tuned!
