Molly & Dylan | Elizabeth Park Engagement Session

November 11, 2020

When your bride texts about a possible location change a couple days prior to your shoot and wants to know your opinion you give it to her. Originally Molly and Dylan wanted to shoot at Wickham Park, their wedding venue but a post on Instagram changed their mind to Elizabeth Park. I must admit I am biased since I got married in the park with reception at The Pond House but the colors were really showing up. This year has been wild at that and one of my photographer nightmares came true...I kept calling Dylan the wrong name! These two were so sweet and laughed about it which made for some images that I really love because it broke the ice.

I enjoy engagement sessions because it is a great opportunity to get to know my couples and it is a fun chance to destress from wedding planning. Now brides especially this year have gone through the ringer. Molly is a nurse and literally works on a floor with 90% full of Covid cases! I admire her strength working long days in all that body shield gear just to take care of people. The session was a welcomed time away from work and these two just got to cuddle up together and were naturals in front of the camera.

There day next September at Wickham Park in East Hartford I know will be spectacular and a great kick off to the 2021 season!

Smiles,

Mariel
