Smith College Botanical Garden | Mary & Todd

June 12, 2019

Shooting in new places is really what drives creativity. You would think working and living in Connecticut I would get the opportunity to shoot in Massachusetts often but I usually go to New York, however Mary and Todd chose Smith College Botanical Garden in their town of Northampton, MA. I absolutely loved driving up to the shoot -- barns and scenery everywhere. Smith has a super adorable downtown main street and there was so much activity and bustle -- it was commencement ! Luckily I found parking just fine and made my way to the Botanical Garden.

Right before I met up with them I had to run inside because of a crazy spring shower downpour, but it lasted 5 minutes and the air was so humid it dried everything within a half hour. Mary & Todd came dressed with vivid colors which I loved! It was an amazing time - I did slightly overshoot (ya know 1100 images!!) but the grounds were so pretty and Mary & Todd were just darling and in love that I couldn't help myself.

Very excited to connect again to shoot their October wedding at Powder Ridge in Middlefield.
