March has been absolutely wild and you know what I am going to talk about - COVID19 aka the Corona virus has really made an impact worldwide. Surprisingly only two of my weddings have been postponed but I am lucky it all worked out. I still remain as positive as ever and don't let too much bother me.

With working from home mandated these days it allowed me the chance to put the finishing edits on this shoot from last year. I even wrote most of the post just never got the images together. There have been so many projects going on lately, adding this styled shoot was something else that worked out perfectly.

It is such a perk to living in a town that has the history of Wadsworth Mansion at my doorstep. Driving up the tree lined driveway and seeing the pillars always is such a stunning view. The weather was very refreshing at 45 degree considering Mother Nature has been playing hot and cold with us with the temps

I remember passing through Collinsville one time a long time ago when I was working for Teddy Bear Portraits and thinking how friggin' awesome and industrial it was and how I had to do a session here. It took some years later but finally got the chance. Jillian and Tim just moved there recently and decided that this was the perfect location for their engagement shoot.

Dying to get out and shoot since winter months are so slow in Connecticut, I decided to run a Valentine's day couple shoot giveaway! It's the first time doing something like this so I wasn't sure anyone would want a mini shoot especially since men aren't so agreeable for photos. Lucky enough there was a positive response and one of my past couple won!

For the past few years there has been this trend of couples seeing each other prior to the "walking down the aisle" called first looks. In my consultations I get asked often about whether its a good idea.

Something about beautiful bouquets and eating delicious desserts make Valentine's Day spectacular! I used to be one of those girls that hated this holiday but now I am all about the love (hello I'm a wedding photographer!!)
