Backyards make the best venues! This wedding wouldn't have been made possible without the love and support of family and friends. All the details came together perfectly from the polaroid snapshots to the delicious clambake and lobster for dinner!

The spring blooms have flourished and turned into beautiful greens and time spent outside!

This month was spent basking in beginnings. Spring is definitely in the air if you couldn't tell by the header image. We had some great weather and the blossoms really popped mid-month!

Spring has sprung this March and it was well needed after some frigid winter temps!

he lucky couple that won my Valentine's Day giveaway session was Amylia and Rob who are my October couple getting married in Massachusetts. They were referred by my friend Courtney and already had their engagement session with her. I was sad that I wouldn't get to see or photograph them until then because I could tell from our Zoom consult that they were so fun. It must've been fate!

Some of you may or may not know but I love boudoir. I set up an Instagram account for my work @ohboudior_bymariel and I think that is one of the best 2021 moves I've made so far.

I always want my couples to be carefree, comfortable and definitely not this cold! The first sessions of 2021 was a blast to frolic around waterfalls, woods and trails.

I started this series last year when there were so many high hopes for 2020! For all the time spent in the house during quarantine I did manage to have an eventful year. Just like any January the feeling in the air is of re-birth and feeling fresh. I have so many ideas and want to redo everything in the house that I made Mike a bit nuts with all my research and talking about this or that.

All my collections comes with a second photographer. There what is know as a "second shooter" in the industry, but I prefer to use the term associate!

For all that 2020 has brought in terms of struggle and postponed weddings, I still have so many best of the year images to show off! Spreading holiday spirit hasn't been easy this year but we are trying! I really loved seeing some couples and families this year so some quick holiday sessions.

When your bride texts you about switching locations of the session a few days prior you let her know you are on board, especially if it's at one of your favorite Connecticut parks! If you know me you know Elizabeth Park is where it's at with so many options for all types of sessions. It's where I got married and had my own engagement session

Who plans a wedding during a pandemic and then decide to move into a new home a week before the date?! Sarah and Tony said I do with their closest family and friends around and did it flawlessly.
